Hello Doctor this is Emmanuel Nice to hear from you, actually my skin is not extremely very dark but compared to a 'White skin' it is, I'm not very pinkish, but I'm fairer than the other dark people. If I come under bright lights I look fair I don't know what medicine changed my skin colour as I'm not good at medicine. My toes, feet, neck, Hands and other private parts like me penis are also dark, I've tried the Vitamin C Calamine lotion Multani mitti allovera face wash drank water used sunscreens accordingly these only work to certain extent and I feel these are meant for people who are looking to improve their complexion and not to restore the original skin colour. I actually look like a South Asain. It took some time may be about a month my complexion became dark. I don't have any other symptoms except for skin darkening and don't have any dark spots either Please advice me with the best medicine. Thanks & Regards Emmanuel

Hi Emmanuel, Thank you for the photographs. The areas you mention - hands, feet, penis and scrotum are naturally darker than the rest of the body. The reasons for this are different. The penis and scrotum are darker because they have a very rich blood supply and this makes the skin darker. No treatment is required or indeed effective here. Hi . I have hypothyroidism amd taking thyronorm 25mcg. I also was diagnosed with pcod last year but the gynaec adviced no treatment saying it sometimes happen temporarily. Hi, Intially when you start taking treatment for hair loss it can result in incresed hair loss for a intial few days,this is not the point for worry but since you have started using minoxidil for hair growth it will have to be used till the time you need hair. i have normal skin(T zone oily) I am suffering from severe whiteheads and acne on my face . i have consulted few dermatologists but it barely gave me any good results. as per as the doctors prescription i have been using 1.azithromtcin azifem 500- tablets 2.adalene nano gel 3.D derclean hydro gel cleanser but it gave me no results at all. i want to have a clear and glowing skin alike yours. earlier it was nice but on the usage of kaya skin regime i ended up paying so badly for my skin. on sun explosion my skin gets worse. i expect your help to get rid of of my problems. also suggest a sun screen.

Brevoxyl Creamy Face Wash is my preferred brand. Epiduo or Deriva-BPO are good brands for the night gel and Aziderm 10% cream a good brand for the day cream. Sir.. About 7 years back I had lots of dandruff in my scalp. The dandruff wld be seen as huge flakes. At tht time I used many anti dandruff shampoos and some how it subsided aftr 6 months. Then hair loss started occuring aftr 2 years. As hairloss became evident I started using Gaine hair 2%. But on using this dandruff startd appearing. So I discontinued this. About a week back again the dandruff started coming as huge flakes. N for the last 5 years I have tinea versicolor lesions on my arms and back. I used clotrimazole for a long time n the lesions slowly subsided but now they r starting to appear again. Facial hair growth is normal n body hair is a little excess I guess. What should I do sir?

Hello, Using a good sunscreen is the first step towards removing a tan. Use an SPF 30 or higher or UVA +++ or higher rated sunscreen (e.g Rivela SPF 50, Melagard SPF 50). Remember to use the sunscreen 2-3 times a day even if you are not going out. In addition see a Dermatologist for getting Chemical Peeling done.
