I am currently being treated for a infected tooth with Penicillin VK 7 day treatment. Before I found out I had a infected tooth I was treated with 2 different antibiotics for what was thought to be a sinus infection. This has all been within the last 3 months. My right side primarily I have pretty much constant nasal blockage. I also have mucus between my chest and my nose....lots of dripping down the back of throat, coughing it up and constant nose blowing. However I believe that there is just some stubborn mucus that doesnt smell good that I am having a hard time getting out. What can I do about this, the only relief I get is if I use nose spray, but I dont want to use that all the time. I need nasal relief.

The Best option for you is to consult ENT specialist and resolve the problem. You must carry the list of Antibiotics taken by you in past to the ENT specialist for his/her reference so as to get a better knowledge of your drug history.. ...

I think you have more of sinus related problem, you need to do steam inhalation and consult your ENT specialist for mucolytic agent. ...

I have an abscess or inflammation at the root of a filled molar. A swelling under the jaw bone, an almost locked jaw. The dentist gave me anti-biotic(penicillin and another one on top) that don't seem to completely reduce the swelling that from soft turned into a hard peach size lump close to the jaw bone. Is my jaw bone being in danger?

Dear Doctor, I got VDRL negative and TPHA positive in Test. Doctor prescribed to take penicillin for 4 weeks with 2.4 milloin units. First week i have taken only 12 million units and next 3 week i have taken 2.4 million units. Am i cured now? still i have rashes on my body. Can i plan for baby? whether the infection will go to my wife an baby? Please help

Hi, I could not find it properly and i believe that you still you should avoid baby for 1 year and you should get your self tested during this period and and look if the titres are falling or not and then you might plan a baby after that. My 5 year old got an absess tooth pulled on Thursday night. He was on penicillin last week fof 5 days (3x a day) and hes on them again but he keeps adding more symptoms instead of starting to feel better ... he just woke up covered in sweat and freezing is this normal ?!

Hi Doctor, I got VDRL Positive but HIV negative and doctor advised me to take Penicilline 2.4 Mil Unit. I taken the same in one day. So doctor told me to recheck after six months. could you please let me know how long does it take to be negative result. The VDRL infected in December but there was no symptoms of Syphilis It's detected in my blood examination report in March I got Penicillin 2.4 Mil Unit and Also got the Negative Blood Report of My Wife. Also, Please let me know whether Employment Medical acceptable or not with VDRL Positive.

I have a dental infection. I take sosium valproate 1000mg pd and amiodipine 5mg. Dentist prescribed amoxicillin which didn't work for 1 week. Then metronidazole for 1 week. Have had to stop taking as bad side effects after 2 days, flushing, stabbing pains to head like migraine. Phoned the pharmacy who dispenses my meds and advised to discontinue. Discussed with my Doctor who always prescribes Clarithromycin for infections I may, i.e. chest infection. This antibiotic gives me no side effects. The dentist is aware of the meds I am on however disregards my contradictory side effects to penicillin based antibiotics. What is your advice

get radiographs done with your teeth having infection and get it treated only medicines wont help with dental pain, infection needs to be drained ...
