I noticed a large red spot on my soft palate today. It is sort of bright sort of dark red, smooth, no pain or tenderness. I do not have any sore throat or pain there either. A few days ago I felt pain in this soft palate area but thought nothing of it and never checked. What could this be? It is completely smooth and flat.
