I had fracture of the fifth metatarsal in my right foot three months ago. My ortho surgeon advised me to wear an Aircast short boot. I wore it for more than two months. After my 3rd xray showed more callus formation, he allowed me to remove it already and just wear shoes with flat hard sole. The x ray result stated that there is more callus formation. Demineralization of bones is appreciated. What does it mean that demineration is APPRECIATED? Is this positive? Thank you.

Hello There, My friend while driving a moped fall off to the ground to avoid a volley ball which came off from the ground. At first, he was able to bend his right knee but had pain while walking on first day. After seeing the general physician he put on a case to rest his knee in straight position. X'ray report suggest no harm to bone. Today he is saying he is able to walk and no pain but not able to bend his right knee and feels the pain. Ortho doctors felt that there could be ligament fracture. Question now is : Is it through MRI scan only the ligament tear or fracture can be known ? If it is a facture or tear, what is the treatment ? Is surgery must or can be cured with medicine/rest ? Please let know. Thank you

Hello doctor I am 36/M, 4 months back i had a fall from my scooter and stood in my left leg with full weight. After 3 days i started having some pain inside my knee. Consulted a ortho and mri scan was done. Report says 1. Minimal knee joint effusion seen. 2.small foci of hyperintensity seen involving the proximal and mid Acl, suggesting mildly strain. 3.hyerintensity seen in the posterior horn of medial menisci, suggesting grade 1 strain. 4.The medial collateral ligament shows hyperi tensity, suggesting strain/edema. I have done physiotherapy with IFT. for 1 months and taken some medicine prescribed by doctor. But after 3 months i still have the knee stiff and pain. Is there any permanent cure. Please help.
