Doctor my mother aged 63yrs have DVT. When scanned the report says following; 1- grey scale imaging shows enlarge diameter of Common Femoral Vein (CFV) & Superficial Fomoral Vein (SFV). 2- Color Doppler reveals non-fillilng of external lilac vein on the left side. Partial filling of colour is seen in the left CFV & SFV. The Popliteal vein does not show any colour filling. The Peroneal and Posterior Tibial veins are filling with the colour. Anterior tibial vein could not be identified on colour Doppler. 3- Doppler imaging shows mid respiratory plasticity in CFV. There is very poor Response to distal augmentation in the CFV. 4- Great Saphenous vein is Patent. IMPRESSION- Deep vein thrombosis in lower limb involving External lliac vein, CFV,SFV & Popliteal vein, and possibly Anterior Tibial Veins. There is partial recanalisation of CFV & SFV. Posterior Tibial and Peroneal veins are patent. Suggested clinical correlation. Scan copy added to the medical record in the profole. that the above is the report of the radiologist now what medicine you prescribe ,how to take and when to review the report? .whether the same will be cure or the patient should be in medicine for life long,what are the immediate risk?

Hi, The Doppler examination shows a thrombus in the deep veins with partial recanalization. This suggests that the thrombus is of a chronic nature. The dentist asked me if I had been sick or had a cough because I had blood blister looking bumps on the back of my tongue. I haven't been sick so now I am worried about it. The dentist didn't say anything further. They just look like little red bumps, almost like swollen taste buds. Should I worry? They don't hurt.

hi, a swollen lump besides the anus is mainly due to a small bleeding under the skin which is called a perianal hematoma or it is due to a pus bag called as an abscess. As you donot have pain, it seems less likely to be pus. Just observe it for a few days, if it grows in size or pains or bursts then you have to consult at colon rectal surgeon & proctologist. Oh sonje, It is not good at all. Dettol is a corrosive agent. It may damage your tongue surface including taste buds. You need to have your tongue examined first. Go to a doctor or hospital soon. Thanks ...

I have had this white strip across the side of my tongue for the past 3 weeks or so. Recently I had researched what it could possibly be and have narrowed it down to leukoplakia and oral thrush. It does not hurt when I eat or hurt at all. I started taking vyvance because of ADD about a month ago and doing so made me start to bite my tongue and gums. I had stopped doing so once I noticed the white strip but it has not healed. I also get little tiny sores on and off on my tongue that look almost like little white taste buds and get irritated very easily. But I just would like to know if it is just a raw spot tongue or leukoplakia because I have used a few tobacco products in past. nothing that lasted more than a month or two of use. I am not even 20 yet and the thought of cancer is terrifying me. Any thoughts on what it could be?Thank you.

My son is 4.5 Y old and suffreing from Mild cerebral Palcy,he is not able to touch his right limb hill to ground as he is having contraction in acfiilles tendon,so is it possible to cure it by operating and muscle lenthening? Will these surgery limit other leg movement in future to him.

Sorry to hear about your son's CP. This is called gasto-soleus contracture. This is part of a spectrum of locomotive conditions associated with cerebral palsy. Hi Doctor, My son is 3 and 1/2 year old..At the age of 2 he has been diagnosed with Eczema, allergic rhinitis, multiple food allergies (which includes milk, egg, wheat, fish, peanut, corn, lentils and all the tree nuts) and lately asthma too..when ever he is accidentally allergic its leading to asthma..Once in every two months he is been suffering from cold and cough also...As a mother Iam finding it very challenging and going through rough days..Its being very tough to satisfy his taste buds, to provide nutrituos diet and at the same time to avoid some of the allergic items from his diet....Recently I found him tolerating lactose free milk without any symptoms though his blood test result shows milk allergy...We are confused on that..To be on safe side we avoided giving him dairy for now...Most challenging part is he is very picky eater if he dont like it he wont eat at all..Can you help on this?? Is there any hope for him to outgrow all theese conditions?If so at what age will he out grow?
