My husband was recently diagnosed with a thoracic aortic dilation of 4.2 during a preop echocardiogram. Cat scan was also done. No evidence of dissection. He is having bilateral knee replacement on January 17. His cardiologist has cleared him for surgery for both knees. Should we be getting a second opinion. I should mention he is 67 years old, no evidence of heart blockages, no diabetes.

Dear Doctor, Please help me to control my diabetes. I am a dibetic patient about 17 years and under insulin for the past 5 years.Before five years I underwent CABG surgery. Hi, I am Satish Aggarwal (58 years old). I have been suffering from Diabetes since last 5 years. I was taking Tribet-2 (Abbott) till last month (one tablet in morning and one in evening). My sugar levels were around 170 (in random) while taking it. Last month I read in newspapers about side effect of Tribet-2 and my doctor advised me to switch to Diamicron XR MEX 500 (2 tablets in morning). While taking it my sugar levels have been around 240 (in random). Now I have just heard that there is some clarification from Tribet-2 that it is safe. My doctor has asked me to move back to Tribet-2. My query is that is Tribet-2 really safe ? and should I move back to it again ? Thanks, Satish

I've had a hole beginning to pierce through my septum now for over a year now and no one can explain the cause only answer I get is sometimes this happens.That's B/S, something is causing this and I would like some feed back or a way to cure the on going issue please reply back with anything I'm up for a chance at solving the problem.I have doing my own research on line everything goes back in the same direction with no real cause except nasal sprays and illegal drugs.I'm 45 years old and a truck driver have not done drugs in years and have bad allergies can someone help?

I was diagonized with Diabetes. My details then was Wt 114 kg, FBS 195 and HB1AC 8.5. Its been 2 months now and i have controlled diet and walked frequently. My details after 60 days are Wt 104Kg FBS 89 and PP 101. I was on Ismet 500, Piopar 15, Rosimet and Mitovit for last 2 months. My doc says progress is good. I want to know, can i ever stop medication and control sugar? Shall i be on medicines for ever?
