hi i had an intercourse and missed to use a contraceptive. am scared of being pregnant since it is close to ovulation. I went to the pharmist asking for ipill but he gave me mifeprin. Wil this help to avoid my pregnancy

You can take ipill ,but the effectiveness will be lower(after 24 hrs).Also,mifeprin will not have any effects on preventing pregnancy or any effects on you. ...

Hi, There are no harms to take i-pill(no reaction),but the t.b medicines reduces the efficacy of emergency contraceptive and the dose of i-pill might be needed to be repeated depending on how patient profile. Repeat dose of i-pill might be recommended,but only after prescription,as repeat dose may also cause excessive bleeding so don't prescribe to self. Hi I am 25yrs old housewife. I am suffering frm infertility. I got married 5 yrs back and aborted jst after 6mnths. Then after 3yr of taking contraceptive pills I was detected with chocolate cyst on my both the ovaries and had to go fr a laproscopy surgery to revome the cysts. My physician had to revome my right overy during the operation. My biopsy report was detected with endometriosis. After the operation two yrs have past I have tried many doctrs to get pregnant bt no result. Now recently I am detected with again a cyst on my left ovary of about 10cm and my TBPCR test reports also came positive. Right now i am taking medicines fr this like AKT3. Pls tell me is there any way to get pregnant nrmally or I have to go fr IVF? My husband's reports are normal.

Hello Doctor, I just wanted to ask regarding on my pcos prblem. I was diagnosed having pcos on both of my ovaries and my doctor prescribed me metformin 500mg daily for about 6mos as well as contraceptive pills. On my 1st month, I took Fertyl 50mg but it was not on my prescription instead of contraceptive pills. 7th year of marriage now...had 2 medical abortions in the first 2yrs due to unwanted pregnancies..never used any contraceptive tools or medicines but just used to avoid intercourse in fertile window..my age 32, Ht 5.2, Wt 64kg..my husband age 33, Ht 5.7, Wt 76kg..now ttc from 6months and felt preg symptoms and miscarriage symtoms in the first month...feeling preg symtoms every alternate month from ttc..both dont have bad habits...recent blood and semen reports of both are normal... In my opinion, it is better to use Ova Shield now since you are already on your 7th year of marriage. There is no reason to wait a few more months. Ovulation test kit would aid/help you in getting pregnant. However, it is not recommended just to wait for a (+) ovulation test to have intercourse. I and my partner are mbbs doctors(freshers). Her LMP is 10/01/2017 Date of intercourse-21/01/2017(unprotected) Levenorgestrel 1.5 mg (emeregency contraceptive) was taken within an hour the same day because we realized its almost the 12th day of cycle and the first unsafe day. Her normal avg cycle duration:regular, 28-29 days lasts for 5 days BUT this time she missed her period , there was a very slight spotting and we thought maybe its the levonorgestrel messing up the period. Apart from that NO H/O of significant nausea , severe abd pain etc But since its 5 days overdue we decided to take pregnancy test and it yielded a faint line. We repeated with another brand kit and tested the morning sample and this time it came a faint test line after 2 minutes. We are confused and as in India we can not exactly go to a gynaecologist per se. Please help?CAN it be pregnancy?
