Acute

I hv been having problems of dizziness, and spinning sensations since last 4/5 days. Had the same earlier abt 2 yrs back but on a very mild scale and they went away without any medication. This time it has been rather acute. Visited the physician and hv been prescribed Vertin 8 mg 1x3 times a day before bkfst, lunch and dinner. After three days feeling better but the sensations are still there albeit milder. Feel the spinning sensation especially when I look straight up/down and then bring the head back to normal posn.Again when I am changing sides on bed while lying down from left to right rpt left to right I feel the same sensation. Tho' the dizziness and the spinning sensations are less now after taking the dosages of Vertin 8 last three days would u hv any advice as to how long it takes normally for the problems to be totally eliminated? I am particularly concerned as I am, tho' a retired person, a man of fairly active habits and for the various domestic chores often hv to drive quite a bit in heavy city traffic and as a result of this problem am completely grounded which is affecting our day-to-day life styles and needs.

Hello, I had slipped disc surgery in the month of September. Before surgery I had sciatica pain in right buttock (acute pain) but after surgery I sometimes feel mild pain in left buttock. After a few months I noticed when I get up in the morning my back/ spineis a little tilted towards left side but once I do some back strecthing exercises the back/spine becomes straight. I am Novelon for about a year now for suspected Endometriosis (ovarian cysts) and excessive menstrual bleeeding. Although my bleeding is controlled now I am experiencing acute mood swings bordering on anger and depression. Can it be due to Novelon and if so what can I do to minimize this? Hi, im 36, female, breastfeeding my 8 mos old baby. i have a history of acute pyelonephritis on 2006. Now i think its the same problem suffered from fever, chill, nausea for 3 days... i started to take cotrimoxazole in 3 days but switched to norfloxcin 400 mg but didnt let my baby feed on my breast. I had my urinalysis after 4 days. Result says my wbc/hpf is 8 to 14, mucous thread +, rbc/hpf is 1 - 3, ep cells +, crystals amophous phospates +. My question is what i the interpretation of my result? Should i continue norloxacin 400 mg? How many days 7 or up to 10 days? When can i let my baby breastfeed again? Thank you... --_Anna-

Switching from one antibiotic to another without finishing the course is not a good idea. Norfloxacin 400 should be taken twice daily for 5 days. You can breast feed your baby. But you must get your urine test for culture and sensitivity done immediately. ...
