Hi! The only blood test that can show whether you are pregnant or the previous abortion was an incomplete one is a serum beta hcg -this checks the hormone for pregnancy in the blood. If less than 5 ,then pregnancy is negative. A normal gynae check up can reveal past pregnancy only if earlier pregnancy led to an incomplete abortion which can be made out by an ultrasonogram of the pelvis or the serum beta hcg.Otherwise no doctor can make out whether you were pregnant in the past and have taken abor ...

what can cause hcg level to rise apart from pregnancy? i have missed period for only 2 days. Because of my curiosity, i brought two home pregnancy test kits and checked. when i checked for first time with I-CAN kit, i got faint pink line. I was happy that i was pregnant. The very next day, when i checked with APOLLO kit for confirmation, i got nothing. Im really in the state of confusion. Am i really pregnant or what?

Hi, Just wait for a few days, do it on seventh day of missing your periods, although some test kits are very good and they even would tell or give positive result on second day of you missing your periods, but still you can wait for a few more days to get confirmatory results. Do it on 7th day. Other causes of raised hcg are usually not so common. ...

Hi, Yes that is why i prescribed you with syrup lactulose so that you pass a litlle soft stools and if there is any fissure in rectum that gets time to heal up and yes that syrup is fine when you are lactating. But that should be taken for not more than seven days and also you should take high fiber rich diet. You can also be prescribed for local anaesthetic gel for local application around rectum area if the pain is so much but the syrup i prescribed should be more than enough. ...
