I have had amenerhea after the pill and had not had a period since last April (9 months ago). My OB put me on progesterone to induce withdrawal bleed and is likely going to diagnose PCOS. She is supposed to call today but first labs showed a Fsh:lh of over 3:1 so it looks like PCOS. I am having a very painful withdrawal bleed on this progesterone. Started with right side pain, constant ache in pelvic region now, and pain during bowel movements/urination? Does this sound normal for a progesterone withdrawal bleed?

Hi, Small cyst rupturing does not cause pain usually and since you are better with nsaids, you don't need to do anything and may continue with nsaids. But haemorrhagic cyst are painful(extreme degree) and if your pain is not relieved by nsaids or you think pain is aggravating or it may be unbearable,it will be advisable to go for an ultrasound abdomen to rule out any kind of haemorrhage. i am a 24 yr old girl , i had a medical abortion at 6 march 2013 last month. i had all my blood test done prior and it was normal. i had also undergone a pelvic usg and i was 5 weeks pregnant. after 2 weeks from abortion i had a pelvic usg done and doctor reassured it was done and my uterus was empty.i strted bleeding on 21st march 2013 and doctor said she's not sure but could be my periods (bleeding started 1 day after i was assured uterus empty). yesterday 03 april 2013 about after 30 days , i am having right side lower abdominal pain travelling downwards and diarhea all day and discharge from vagina. the discharge is not smelly but its continusly coming like a string . i am worried as i do not know what is happening . why am i having diarrhea pain and discharge. is it jus a virus or do i have some infection ? Pid ?

Hi, The pain in lower abdominal area which you are felling near your uterus is not necessary,that there is some pathology in your uterus only.Pain can also be accompanied with loose motions in that area and you also might be having some kind of urinary infection which might be causing that pain(the pain would wean of as soon your intestinal infection gets better and your discharge seems to reduce). Hello, I've gotten the mirena iud birth control at my 6 week check up after having my son, 2 and a half years ago. I just have been experiencing dark black blood. I'm cycles are irregular I never know when the will come. Usually 4-6 months apart. But when I first got mirena everything was good. But now years later I'm having the dark blood. I made a doctors appointment for this Friday. But I'm just wondering what it could be. I can't find anything online about this expect maybe it could be a pelvic infection or infection of some sort. Please let me know if there's something more I could bring to my doctors attention this Friday. Thank you.

Irregular menses are very common after Mirena. I wont put hormonal IUCD (MIrena) for birth control as it causes lot of menstrual irregularities. Black blood is nothing but a part of irregular periods cuased by Mirena. I would advice u to remove Mirena if u r not happy with it and switch over to CuT. ...

I had a missed miscarriage and I was ask to for evacuation which I did on d 31st of july, ever since I havnt had my period,and I went for pelvic scan and I was told I wasn't producing eggs, a week ago I complained to my doc. And he put me on primolut N and duphaston 10, he said I should take 1 tab. Of primolut N per day and duphaston twice a day for ten days I want to ask if its save for me to do so....please I will b glad if I can get a reply now

I have been diagnosed for "pelvic inflammatory disease" for about 6 year now an I have treated it for more than 7 times with strong antibiotics but to no avail, I still have pains and discharge and my period isnot regular.
