My husband has stage 4 cancer of the colon and metastasized to liver and very slightly to lungs. Because of the many colonoscopies and eventual colostomy he has not lost a lot of weight and is too week to have chemo. The oncologist has given him Betanoid. What is this for?

I went for ct scan to check my lungs. The results were good. now my periods have delayed. could it be the ct scan?

Hi, Thanks for writing in. Getting a CT scan for lungs does not affect periods in any way. It is probable that your periods are delayed because of anxiety. Please relax your mind and they should happen any time soon if you have regular periods. If they dont occur for a week after expected dates then discuss with your doctor regarding hormonal imbalance. Hi, my 1 year and 2 month old daughter has been suffering from cold and cough for about 2 weeks. On consulting a pediatrician, he diagnosed that she was having trouble breathing and so might have asthma. He then prescribed Ambrodil-S syrup, Montek LC kid syrup and Alex junior. I am a little worried since we do not have any history of asthma in the whole of my family and in-law's family. She does catch cold often, and apparently thick mucus has spread to her lungs this time. So, if I give these medicines to her, are there chances that she might induce and incline to asthma in future? Is it possible to grow asthmatic without any history in family at this age? It is told that babies who breastfeed for a long time are less likely to grow asthmatic since feeding needs lots of energy in lungs. And she still breastfeeds post dinner at night. Does she still have the possibility of being asthmatic?
