I am a 32 years female with a severe tooth ache in my jaw which increases in the night. I know there seems to be a cavity in one of my tooth. What exactly needs to be done for me to get relief from my pain & what will the whole procedure be like ?? Thanks

started using a cpap in october and also b12 supplements . Went to dentist in october everything was fine. I just noticed about 7 small black dots on my back molars, I assume they are cavities. For someone that hasn't had a cavity in 20 years, it's got to be one of these factors. So is it the cpap or the b12 that's causing my problem?

My dentist advised me to have rct for 2 front teeth out of which one is a dead tooth because of trauma. Now, i need to travel in couple of days and shall be away for couple of months. So the dentist suggested that she can fill the cavity with cotton and do the final treatment once i am back. What would you advise?

i would not agree with leaving the treatment incomplete. this may lead to infection that could be worse than what you have. your tooth will be weakened due to the access cavity and liable to fracture. either wait till you get back and DO NOT TOUCH the tooth at all (if you have no trouble now) or FINISH the treatment and leave. make sure you are carrying medication in either case. ...

My husband age 65 had to have his lower left wisdom tooth removed because there was a cavity on the tooth before the wisdom tooth. The original doctor only removed the tooth November 26, 2012, was given Norco for pain and recommended to take ibuprofen for pain. My husband had pain, and swelling. Original dentist packed the tooth with a special pack. Husband also applied clove oil. He talked to oral surgeons. Went to another surgeon and was given steroids, and antibiotics. My husband had dry socket and the hole was not closing up. So the new surgeon recommended a water pick and brushing the area vigorously to stimulate circulation. THe hole is closing up. Also, a root tip was found and had to be removed which added new pain. My husband is trying to not taking Norco anymore and trying to reduce ibuprofen. But pain level is 1-3 with twinges in jaw. It's been 8 wks. Is that normal? The original wisdom tooth had fused to the bone and had to be sawed in half to be removed. The cavity still hasn't been filled due to other pain.

You have mentioned dry socket, the appropriate treatment for that is use of local antibiotics and systemic analgesics. Kindly get a radiograph done and ask your dentist to irrigate and flush the area before inserting the local medication. ...

Can taking Concerta cause cavities? My son is eight years old and started taking Concerta in May. We went to the dentist and he now has 5 cavities which he hasnt had a cavity before this. Also, I noticed since he has been on Concerta, his teeth seem to have a yellow tint.

SIR, LAST LOWER JAW TOOTH HAS BROKEN BUT NO PAIN. THERE IS BIG CAVITY. AND THE LAST BUT BEFORE IS SLIGHTLY BROKEN IN THE LOWER RIGHT JAW. AND THERE IS PAIN IN IT. I got my wisdom teeth out about 12 days ago, and it is almost healed. I feel like there might be a cavity in the tooth in front of the wisdom tooth extracted, but there might not be either. I haven't been able to brush my teeth back there, and whenever I put my tongue back there to take out food that is stuck, I taste something metallic, it almost taste identical to the taste of raw cabbage. I don't want to go to the dentist just yet because I am still healing, and I cant open my mouth so big, and I don't want to make anything worse. If you could help me out, that would be great.
