Carotid doppler

Doctor my mother aged 63yrs have DVT. When scanned the report says following; 1- grey scale imaging shows enlarge diameter of Common Femoral Vein (CFV) & Superficial Fomoral Vein (SFV). 2- Color Doppler reveals non-fillilng of external lilac vein on the left side. Partial filling of colour is seen in the left CFV & SFV. The Popliteal vein does not show any colour filling. The Peroneal and Posterior Tibial veins are filling with the colour. Anterior tibial vein could not be identified on colour Doppler. 3- Doppler imaging shows mid respiratory plasticity in CFV. There is very poor Response to distal augmentation in the CFV. 4- Great Saphenous vein is Patent. IMPRESSION- Deep vein thrombosis in lower limb involving External lliac vein, CFV,SFV & Popliteal vein, and possibly Anterior Tibial Veins. There is partial recanalisation of CFV & SFV. Posterior Tibial and Peroneal veins are patent. Suggested clinical correlation. Scan copy added to the medical record in the profole. that the above is the report of the radiologist now what medicine you prescribe ,how to take and when to review the report? .whether the same will be cure or the patient should be in medicine for life long,what are the immediate risk?

Hi, The Doppler examination shows a thrombus in the deep veins with partial recanalization. This suggests that the thrombus is of a chronic nature. I am 27 years old unmarried. Three years ago I was diagnosed with cysts in my ovaries and surgery (Laporatomy) was done. I have lost my right ovary with it (oopherectomy) and cyst was removed from left ovary (cystectomy). But again cyst in left ovary is seen in Ultrasound, it say " LEFT ADENEXA SHOWS A WELL CIRCUMSCRIBED IRREGULARLY MARGINATED THICK WALLED MULTI SEPTED CYSTIC LESION [MEASURES 88 X 61 X 58 mm, VOL=160CC], SHOWING DISTAL ACOUSTIC ENHANCEMENT CONTAINING LOW LEVEL ECHOGENIC INTERNAL ECHOES WITH ECHOGENIC SOLID PAPPILLARY PROJECTIONS [MEASURES APPROX : 20X 17MM, 17X13MM]. IT IS SHOWING INCREASED VASCULARITY ALONG THE PERIPHERY AND WITHIN THE PAPILLARY PROJECTIONS ON COLOUR DOPPLER ANALYSIS. LEFT OVARY IS NOT VISUALIZED SEPARATELY." Is it suggestive of Ovarian cancer or just an ovarian cyst? Rightnow I am taking homeopathy, and it seem to be working as earlier my cysts size was 210cc and now it is 160cc. Please help me out should i continue with homeopathy or once again should go for surgery immediately, I want to keep my remaining ovary as I am still unmarried.

You must do Ovarian tumour marker blood report and expert USG with color Doppler study to rule out ovarian malignancy ...

Hi there. Please coordinate with your OB closely. It is important that you maintain your blood pressure as normal as possible. Doppler velocimetry must also be done often. If reversed flow is observed, pregnancy might be terminated sooner. Good luck. ...
